Zam Thang Family

The Thang family has a strong underground ministry in the country of Myanmar. Between political uprisings and natural disasters, Zam Thang has had difficult circumstances to overcome. But by God's grace, he is succeeding. Everything that Zam had built on his property was leveled by recent cyclones, but where bamboo structures once stood to house Bible students and orphans, now stand brick buildings that will withstand nearly any storm. These two-story brick buildings will house the class rooms, chapel, dorms, and living areas for the teachers in the institute. Even though Zam would not be allowed to build a church building to openly evangelize, the government has allowed him to openly build and operate a Bible institute.  The institute has about 25 men and women as students who are incredibly faithful under strong persecution. Upon graduation, the men from the college hope to begin their own ministries in the outlying villages around Yangon.
